YOUR ARRIVAL
For guests arriving via Florence Airport, Castello del Calcione is approximately a 1 hour and 15 minute drive through the Tuscan countryside. We recommend hiring a car from the airport or arranging a private transfer for the most convenient journey to the venue.
For those travelling by train, the nearest stations are Rapolano Terme (approximately 20 minutes by car) and Asciano (approximately 25 minutes by car), with connections also available via Arezzo and Sinalunga. Please refer to the map below for an overview of the surrounding transport links and nearby towns.

We hope this will help guests coordinate travel and make the journey to the castle as smooth and enjoyable as possible.
Hot Tip - For Car Hire we have used Sicily By Car, super easy. There is a shuttle bus straight outside the airport which takes you to the Car Hire area. You can also opt to return the car to Florence city centre if you have any plans to stay in Florence after the wedding.
ACCOMMODATION
Our dream is to have all our loved ones together for the whole weekend, so we found a venue that could do just that. Site accommodation has been arranged for all guests. The cost is 300Euro per person for a three-night stay, with payment kindly requested upon arrival.

QUESTIONS + ANSWERS
ARE CHILDREN WELCOME?
The wedding day itself will be reserved for adults and immediate family children only, with the exception of babes in arms. However we understand it isn't always easy to attend without your children, so childcare can be arranged through the venue if needed.
WHERE WILL I BE STAYING?
The wedding party will be staying in the castle and all other guests will be staying in villas and apartments surrounding maximum walk is 15 minutes away.
WHERE WILL I EAT?
All villas and apartments are self catered. Of course you will be fed and sufficiently watered at wedding events, but for anything else you might want we recommend doing a shop locally which are 15 minute drive. There will be basic amenities in villa for arrival.
IS THERE A POOL?
Yes, many! As well as the main castle pool, there are numerous pools around the grounds you are welcome to use whenever you wish.
WHAT WILL THE WEATHER BE LIKE?
We hope the weather will be lovely and warm with a nice breeze that we have experienced up in the hills at the venue. It can be cool in the evenings once the sun goes down. We will keep a close eye on the weather nearer the time and advise accordingly.
WHAT IS THE TERRAIN?
It’s an old Italian castle in thecountryside so expect it to be varied paths, cobblestones, and natural terrain.
